Overview in the national level
In Belgium, a national NeTEx profile has been defined, but it is currently not utilized by the Public Transport Operators (PTOs). Instead, there are existing NeTEx datasets available on the NAP in accordance with EU requirements, using EPIP. A converter has been employed to ensure compliance with these regulations. Recently, the Belgian PTOs have decided to adopt EPIP/EPIAP/EPIP-RT as their shared EU-compliant NeTEx/SIRI profiles. Work on producing and implementing these profiles is set to begin in autumn 2024.
